TIPS Off-Premise Satellite Training Program
Our Membership Services Committee is pleased to announce the TIPS
Off-Premise Satellite Training Program being offered to our Association
by Anheuser-Busch and the South Carolina Anheuser-Busch Wholesalers.
TIPS is an approved SC Tax and Revenue Training Program. TIPS for
Off-Premise will teach your staff intervention techniques that reflect
the short period of time a clerk can interact with a customer. In
addition to preventing the illegal sale of alcohol, store employees
also learn how to handle intoxicated patrons and help keep customers
from harming themselves and others.
TIPS Training also may help you improve relations with your community.
By participating in this TIPS Training, you demonstrate a commitment
to preventing alcohol-related problems and a desire to be a part
of the solution.
This 2½-hour session, addressing the sale of alcohol
at convenience stores, grocery stores, liquor stores, and gas
stations,
will be
held live via satellite at nine of the 11 South Carolina Anheuser-Busch
distributorships. (Please see attached wholesaler list.)
The cost of the TIPS for Off-Premise Program is $15 per person.
To sign up your employees for this important training, please call
the individual wholesaler’s contact person on the attached
list. Space is limited at the distributorships, pre-payment may
be required to hold reservations, most locations can host a maximum
of 15 attendees per session. All classes will be scheduled in advance
so the proper materials will be available.
